Frequently asked questions

Before you travel to Cusco

Don’t see your question? Message us and we’ll answer on WhatsApp.

How do I book my trip?+

Choose the program you like and request your quote on the website or by WhatsApp. We confirm availability, adjust dates, hotels and activities with you, and send you the detailed itinerary before you pay.

How much do I pay to book, and how?+

To confirm your booking you pay 50%, and the balance up to 30 days before the trip. You can pay by bank transfer or online with WeTravel. Tickets with limited quotas, such as Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail, are bought and paid for when you confirm because the spot would otherwise be lost, and they are non-refundable once issued.

Will the altitude in Cusco affect me?+

Cusco sits at about 3,400 m above sea level, and it is normal to feel the altitude during the first days. We recommend acclimatizing with an easy first day, drinking water, eating light and leaving the highest excursions, such as Rainbow Mountain or Humantay, for the end of the trip.

When is the best time to visit Cusco and Machu Picchu?+

You can travel all year. May to October is the dry season, ideal for hikes and outdoor tours. From November to April it rains more, but the landscapes are greener and there are fewer visitors. The Inca Trail usually closes in February for maintenance.

Are Machu Picchu tickets included?+

Yes, the ticket is included in programs that visit Machu Picchu. It is issued in your name, has a fixed date and a limited quota, so we issue it with your passport details as soon as you confirm. In high season it is best to book in advance.

What language do the guides speak?+

Our programs include a professional bilingual guide in Spanish and English. If you need another language, ask us when you request your quote.
