The tour ends at San Francisco Square in Cusco around 5:00 p.m. We recommend doing it after two days of acclimatization.

Cusco – Humantay Lake – Cusco

BreakfastLunch

We pick you up at your hotel between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m., and you travel by tourist transport to Mollepata, arriving around 7:00 a.m. for breakfast at a tourist restaurant.

Between 9:00 a.m. and noon you hike to Humantay Lake, with time to enjoy the scenery. Then you return to the transport and have a buffet lunch between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m.

In the afternoon you travel from Mollepata back to Cusco. The tour ends at San Francisco Square around 5:00 p.m.

How demanding is the Humantay Lake hike?+

It is a high-altitude hike with a steady uphill climb. The round trip, time at the lake, and the descent take about three hours in total. You need reasonable fitness and at least two days in Cusco to acclimatize. We carry oxygen and a first-aid kit.

Is admission to the lake included?+

No. Admission to Humantay Lake is paid separately. Everything else (transport, guide, breakfast, and lunch) is included.

What time will I be picked up, and where does the tour end?+

We pick you up at your hotel between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. The tour ends at San Francisco Square in Cusco around 5:00 p.m.
