Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac
We pick you up at your hotel between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. The first stop is Chinchero, a town known for its views and traditional textile workshops. Then you visit Moray, the ancient agricultural laboratory where the Incas experimented with crops at different altitudes.
Continue to the Maras salt pans, more than 3,000 salt pools used since pre-Inca times, and then to Ollantaytambo, one of the last Inca cities still inhabited, where you explore its fortress. Have lunch at a buffet in Urubamba with Andean flavors.
You end in Pisac, with its handicraft market and its archaeological site of agricultural terraces. You return to Cusco around 7:00 p.m., and we drop you off at your hotel. Maximum altitude for the day: 3,600 m above sea level.
