Chilina, Añashuaco and Culebrillas
We pick you up at your hotel in Arequipa at 9:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. and take you to the Chilina Lookout, with panoramic views of the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes. Then you visit the Añashuaco quarries, where sillar, the white volcanic stone of Arequipa's architecture, comes from: you see the handcrafted carving and a mini replica of the facade of the Church of La Compañía de Jesús, carved in sillar.
Next you head to the Culebrillas sector and walk about 20 minutes to see petroglyphs carved into the rock walls by pre-Hispanic cultures of the area. At the end, you return to your hotel or the meeting point.
