Paracas, Ballestas Islands, Ica and Huacachina
At 5:00 a.m. we pick you up at your hotel in Miraflores and you travel to the seaside resort of Paracas. Around 9:30 a.m. you leave by boat from the pier for the Ballestas Islands to see sea lions, Humboldt penguins and thousands of seabirds, plus the Candelabra geoglyph, while your guide shares the theories about its origin.
Around 1:00 p.m. you visit a pisco winery in Ica, where you learn the artisanal process of making wine and pisco and taste their main products. At 3:30 p.m. you reach the Huacachina oasis. You walk around it, climb to the lookout, and ride the dunes by buggy and on sandboards. Afterward there is time for lunch (not included). On the way back to Lima you can make an optional stop in Chincha, at a winery with wines, piscos and cachina, a dance workshop to the beat of the cajón, and traditional sweets. Around 6:30 p.m. the return trip to Lima begins.
