Pallay Punchu
We pick you up very early from your hotel in Cusco's historic center, and you travel by private tourist transport toward the southern valley, along the road to Sicuani, through Andean villages, farmland, and mountains. You arrive at the starting point of the hike to Pallay Punchu, also called Pallay Poncho or the colorful jagged mountain.
The hike takes between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on your pace and the weather. It is demanding because of the altitude and some steep sections, and it takes you to see the colorful jagged mountains, Apu Taqllo, and Langui-Layo Lake. Afterward you walk back down to the vehicle, have lunch in Sicuani, and return to Cusco, where you arrive at night.
