Miraflores, San Isidro and Lima's Historic Center
At 2:00 p.m. the tour begins at the Parque del Amor in Miraflores, with its colorful mosaics and views of the Costa Verde and the Pacific Ocean. Next you visit Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca adobe pyramid from the 4th century A.D. and the ceremonial center of the Lima culture, and continue to El Olivar Park in San Isidro, with its centuries-old olive trees.
Then you travel to the Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You walk through the Plaza de Armas, in front of the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace and the Municipal Palace, among balconies and colonial mansions. You finish at the San Francisco Monumental Complex, with its 17th-century churches, convents and catacombs. You return to your hotel around 6:30 p.m.
