Puno – Uros Islands – Amantaní
We pick you up at your hotel around 7:30 a.m. and take you to the Puno port to board the boat. First you visit the floating islands of the Uros, where your guide explains their living culture, and you have free time to walk around. Then you sail for about 2 hours and 30 minutes to Amantaní Island.
On Amantaní the residents welcome you, and you walk about 25 minutes with your host families to their homes, where you have a typical trout dish for lunch. After a rest, you climb to the top of the island to visit the Pachamama and Pachatata ceremonial temples. In the evening you have dinner with your family and join an Andean celebration, where you can dance and wear traditional clothing.
Overnight: Home of a local family
