Moray, Maras and the Salt Pans
At 8:00 a.m. we pick you up at your hotel in tourist transport and head up the mountains toward Moray, in the Maras region. There you walk through the circular terraces built into a natural canyon, which the Incas used as an agricultural laboratory, and learn about their function.
Then you explore the town of Maras, with its colonial streets and doorways, and end at the Maras Salt Pans, more than 3,000 salt pools that local residents still work. Afterward, transport takes you back to downtown Cusco.
