Cusco – Rainbow Mountain by ATV
We pick you up early from your hotel and travel south of Cusco on the road to Puno. After about 2 hours you reach Cusipata, where you stop for breakfast before the high-altitude adventure. Then you continue toward Combapata and turn onto an unpaved road along the Salka River: for about 1.5 hours you pass Andean communities and herds of alpacas and llamas.
After about 10 minutes of preparation, you walk gently for 30 to 40 minutes to the main viewpoint, with a 360-degree view of the three colored mountains, the seasonal Red River and the Ausangate glacier. You have lunch and return to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 p.m.
